Separated gas delay time of 200 to 250msec has been attained by separating and sampling a part of the diesel engine exhaust gas and controlling at a high speed the amount of fresh air with a high-speed linear solenoid valve. Stable measurement of the PM amount is now realized in modes ranging from the steady mode to the transient mode.
More transient measurement realized with the tunnel inlet delay time of 200msec max. achieved
At higher accuracy
High-accuracy separation control is realized with high-speed electromagnetic proportional valve and high-accuracy VFM.
Wide splitting ratio realized
Applicable from general-purpose engines to larger engines due to splitting ration of 1/600.
Correspondences to test methods of different countries
